I was born at the final breath of the 1950s and grew up listening to what I consider was some of the best rock music ever produced, both musically and technically.
Every new release during the 1960’s through the mid-70's brought with it excited anticipation. I vividly recall the hours spent marveling at everything from the cover and liner notes to the very last grooves of its vinyl platter. By the time I was six, I knew that I would be pursuing music as a life's passion in one form or another.
I've been playing guitar since I was 13 and began writing songs the following year. When I was 19, I booked a professional studio for the first time to record my music and it was there that I was propositioned to be a recording engineer-in-training. This set me onto a completely unexpected path recording and mixing everything from voiceover sessions, countless demos (my own as well as other's), and many albums and singles. Eventually, in my mid-20's, I left for Hollywood where I worked on films and TV shows, eventually leading to producing those as well.
All these years later, I still write and record my own music, having come full circle; back at the mixing desk or in the field, engineering and producing audio for the video game industry.
Yes Jerry Garcia, a long, strange trip it has certainly been.
